For the 2021 competition we have teamed up with Natures Way Foods, a Chichester based manufacturer of fresh, convenient food.
Fresh thinking has been at the heart of Natures Way Foods from the beginning. It all started in 1994 when they started producing salad with just one wash line packing the leaves into bags. They now supply prepared salads, prepared fruit, coleslaw and potato salad, dressed salads, and fresh food to go products to some of the UK’s largest supermarket and foodservice companies. Their development chefs will be sourcing fresh, local ingredients and providing inspiration to the budding young cooks hopefully via video this year.
The Create & Cook Competition in Sussex is run by by fit2cook food education. Sussex chefs who have given their time to judge our final and help nurture young talent have been Michael Norman-Watt from 64 degrees, Brighton; Graham Squire from the Lickfold Inn, near Petworth; Sam Mahoney from Field and Fork in Chichester; Richard Mann from South Lodge Hotel near Horsham; Andy Mackenzie from Drakes in Brighton and for our launch into Sussex Steve Edwards, ex Masterchef the Professionals winner and owner of Etch, Hove who has been behind us from the beginning. Thank you all for your support and encouragement in nurturing the next generation of young cooks.
