LATEST NEWS ON 2020 COMPETITION

We hope you and your families are ok in these challenging and difficult times. Create & Cook sends you our best wishes.

DEADLINE – THURSDAY 30th APRIL
We know lots of young cooks are working on their entries from home and some teachers are trying to support their young cooks finish off their entries they started at school last term. We hope you can all send in your entry forms by Thursday 30th April. Please email the completed forms to us [email protected]. You can email us one photo of your dishes if you wish but this is optional. Let us know if you need a bit more time but we do hope to start judging first week of May.

HOW TO ENTER FROM HOME
To help, we’ve uploaded a video on How to enter from home onto our Facebook page. This gives tips on filling in the entry from and how to send it to us. We hope young cooks have enjoyed working with their families on the entry forms and for some its been a nice family project to work on around the kitchen table.

PRIZES AND FINAL
We plan to judge the entries and award prizes the middle of May. We have lots of cookbooks and certificates to give away as well as other little prizes. If we can, we will also run a Midcounties and Southern final for the best 4 entries in the Autumn term when schools are up and running again. We want all the young cooks who have worked on the competition to still have the chance to cook their recipes in front of our judges and be awarded praise and prizes. But we wait to see how and when schools will return.

SOCIAL MEDIA
We will continue to share young cooks recipes and ideas on our social media. We'll also profile local ingredients and chefs. So stay with us and stay safe.

Best wishes from the Create & Cook Competition team and our sponsors - Best of our Counties from the Midcounties Cooperative and Natures Way Foods. Thank you to our sponsors for continuing to support us in these challenging times.
